INTERVIEW Markus Berger

How did you come to GRUB BRUGGER?

My enthusiasm for the law firm was awakened early on, as my father worked for GRUB BRUGGER for many years. During my Master's degree, I had the opportunity to attend lectures by lawyers from the firm. These experiences and the intensive insights into the practice ultimately led to my decision to go into insolvency administration.

How long have you been working at GRUB BRUGGER?

I have been working at GRUB BRUGGER since November 2017, so almost 7 years.

Did you move for the job change/entry and if so to which city/location?

Yes, I moved to Stuttgart for my job at GRUB BRUGGER.

What did you notice immediately in your first month?

In my first month at GRUB BRUGGER, I particularly noticed the complexity of insolvency administration. I realised that a sound knowledge of insolvency law is the basis, but that entrepreneurial thinking and a profound understanding of business management are just as important. In insolvency administration, we face the daily challenge of restructuring or reorganising companies while at the same time protecting the interests of creditors. This requires close teamwork and a high degree of flexibility. Right from the start, I was particularly impressed by the interdisciplinary cooperation with my colleagues. The collegial atmosphere at GRUB BRUGGER and the intensive dialogue within the team promote a creative and effective approach to the complex tasks that we face on a daily basis.

What do you particularly like about GRUB BRUGGER? (e.g. the option of flexible working hours, working from home, law firm conferences, parties)?

At GRUB BRUGGER, I particularly appreciate the challenges that we face every day in a wide variety of industries. The flat hierarchies enable every employee to develop continuously and take on responsibility at an early stage. This structure promotes open communication and productive collaboration.

I would particularly like to emphasise the regular law firm management conferences, which not only facilitate professional exchange and networking with colleagues from other offices, but also strengthen team spirit.
